The Magic City Innovation District – Little Haiti® is a transformative development poised to redefine Miami’s urban landscape. Spanning approximately 18 acres in the heart of Little Haiti, this master-planned community aims to blend technology, sustainability, art, culture, and wellness into a cohesive, walkable urban campus.

A Vision for the Future

Designed with a forward-thinking approach, the district seeks to foster organic growth through a phased development strategy. This methodology ensures that as the community expands, residents, businesses, and visitors can immediately benefit from new venues and spaces, rather than waiting for the project’s full completion. The emphasis is on creating interconnected spaces that seamlessly integrate residential areas, commercial enterprises, and cultural experiences.

Key Features and Commitments

Sustainability: All buildings within the district are committed to adhering to LEED standards, promoting environmentally responsible construction practices. The development also focuses on infrastructure improvements to enhance neighborhood connectivity, including investments in pedestrian and bicycle pathways.

Cultural Preservation: A cornerstone of the project is the preservation and enhancement of Little Haiti’s rich cultural heritage. Notably, the historic DuPuis Medical Building, one of Miami’s oldest structures, will be preserved, serving as a tangible link to the area’s storied past.

Economic and Community Impact: The district is projected to generate significant economic benefits, including the creation of over 11,680 direct and indirect full-time jobs and an infusion of $188 million annually into the local economy through expenditures by future residents and visitors. Additionally, the development has pledged up to $31 million to the Little Haiti Revitalization Trust, supporting affordable housing, educational programs, small business development, and community beautification projects.

Preconstruction Residential Projects

As part of its commitment to creating a vibrant, mixed-use community, the Magic City Innovation District has several preconstruction residential projects in the pipeline:

25-Story Residential Tower: Designed by the renowned architectural firm Arquitectonica, this forthcoming 25-story building will feature 349 luxury apartment units complemented by approximately 13,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Residents can anticipate world-class amenities and modern design elements that reflect the district’s innovative spirit.

Additional Residential Units: The district’s master plan includes the phased construction of up to 2,630 residential units, catering to a diverse range of residents and contributing to the area’s revitalization.

A Catalyst for Urban Transformation

The Magic City Innovation District – Little Haiti® is more than just a development project; it’s a catalyst for urban transformation. By thoughtfully integrating modern amenities with cultural preservation and sustainable practices, the district aims to set a new standard for urban living in Miami. As construction progresses, this dynamic community is poised to become a premier destination for innovation, culture, and quality living.
